Last time we were at Umbagog, Luke built me a bench.

This time, he carved our initials in it.

This is what happens when bark falls off of a tree.  I've always been fascinated by the markings, but I've never had the heart to find out what actually makes them.  When I was a kid I used to think that they were the tree's way of writing down stories.  I'd collect bark from all over camp and spend hours trying to decipher the markings.  Whatever actually makes them can't possibly be as cool as that, so I'm sticking with my version

I finally got my film from Lake Umbagog developed!  Here's an alternate view of one of the storms that passed by the camp.  Nothing relaxes me more than reading on the deck while the rain comes pouring down.
